Casey Kasem Radio Transcript AMERICAN TOP 40 LP Boxsets

Vintage and Collectible Records

Casey Kasem began broadcasting his iconic radio show, American Top 40, on July 4th, 1970:
"Here we go with the Top 40 hits in the nation this week on "American Top 40," the bestselling and most played songs from the Atlantic to the Pacific, from Canada to Mexico. This is Casey Kasem in Hollywood."

Now 50 years later in 2020, we can find this show documented on radio transcript record sets. These sets were sent to subscribing radio stations. At each station, the individual programmer would insert ads and station ids at the appropriate intervals.

Boxset program 832-8, 5-21-83
Boxset program 832-10, 6-4-83
Boxset program 832-12 6-18-83

Up for your consideration is a set of 3 transcripts from May and June of 1983. The boxes have suffered and have tape repairs. One set does not include the paper transcript and is missing 1 of the 4 records. Another set has damage to one of the records. Check it out in our sister Ebay store. Eclectic Salvage Vintage Goods. We grouped these together as they are from the same general time and are not perfect. This grouping meant they could not be offered in our Discogs shop. So check out the details on Ebay here.
